History and shape

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig , numerous similar-looking memorials were built in Anhalt, which was liberated at the time . Libbesdorf also has such a monument, but differs in that the reading stones are arranged around the inscription stone. This centrally erected boulder bears the inscription 18 X / 1813 - 1913 . Apparently he never wore an iron cross , which is typical for many of the monument to the battle of the nations. Due to their simplicity, they are considered to be on the borderline of war memorials , as they are of no artistic value.
