Libbesdorf is a district of the municipality Osternienburger Land in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld in Saxony-Anhalt .

history
Libbesdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1339.
On January 1, 2010, the previously independent municipalities of Libbesdorf, Chörau , Diebzig , Dornbock , Drosa , Elsnigk , Großpaschleben , Kleinpaschleben , Zabitz , Micheln , Osternienburg , Reppichau , Trinum and Wulfen merged to form a single municipality of Osternienburger Land. At the same time, the administrative community Osternienburg , to which these communities belonged, was dissolved.

The colors of the former municipality are white and blue. The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch .
The flag is blue and white (1: 1) striped (horizontal shape: stripes running horizontally, lengthways shape: stripes running vertically) and centered with the coat of arms.
Memorials
There are graves in the local cemetery for a Romanian and a Polish prisoner of war who fell victim to forced labor during the Second World War .
