history

Trinum manor

Trinum was first mentioned in a document in 1296 and was occasionally called Drinumb . In the village there was a manor with a sheep farm, distillery, brewery and windmill, which belonged to the baronial family von Ende and which was leased by the Sander family for several generations in the 19th century . Around 1830 Trinum had 23 houses with 152 residents.

On January 1, 2010, the previously independent municipalities of Trinum, Chörau , Diebzig , Dornbock , Drosa , Elsnigk , Großpaschleben , Kleinpaschleben , Libbesdorf , Micheln , Osternienburg , Reppichau , Zabitz and Wulfen merged to form a single municipality of Osternienburger Land. At the same time, the administrative community Osternienburg , to which these communities belonged, was dissolved.

coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved by the Dessau Regional Council on February 27, 1996 and registered in the Magdeburg State Archives under the coat of arms roll number 16/1996.

Blazon : "In green a silver high cross with a curved, sparse foot, accompanied on the right by a six-petalled silver cornflower, on the left by a fallen silver ploughshare."

The colors of the former municipality show silver (white) - green.

The cross, which divides the coat of arms, is supposed to reflect the old church that is still in existence and which is the origin of the place. The cornflower is intended to indicate that nature is still largely intact, and the ploughshare to point out the agricultural character of the area and the place.

flag

The flag was approved on July 1, 1996 by the Dessau Regional Council.

The flag of the former municipality of Trinum is striped green - white - green (1: 2: 1) with the municipal coat of arms.
