History and shape

Monument to the Battle of the Nations in Anhalt are mostly simple stones. In some cases, these monuments, most of which were created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig , are even denied the monument value, so that they are simply referred to as memorial stones . In cities, however, they were given a larger budget and mostly tower-like structures were created, for example in Zerbst or Bad Sülze .

This also happened in the city ​​of Lindau in 1913 . Today the monument consists of a central tower topped by a bear. To make the tower's character clearer, a round arched window was attached to it.
