The Völkerschlachtdenkmal von Wulfen is a memorial stone in the community of Osternienburger Land in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld in Saxony-Anhalt . The small monument is under monument protection and is entered in the monument register with registration number 094 15991 as a monument .

location

In the north of Wulfen the memorial stone is located on a square formed by the street An der Kirche , the Meisterberg and the market . On this the small monument stands a little higher above the first-mentioned street.

shape

Similar to the large stone grave in Wulfen , the memorial stone for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig consists of erected boulders . Smaller reading stones on these form the basis for the upper stone, which bears the inscription October 18/1813 1913 . It can no longer be said for sure whether he once carried an Iron Cross , but the room layout on the stone suggests this. Battle of the Nations monuments are considered to be on the borderline of war memorials , as they are denied an artistic value. Here, as in Meilendorf , the memorial complex is surrounded by an octagonal fence.
