The 10,60  ha large nature reserve (NSG) Völmeder sources located in the town of Geseke in the district of Soest in North Rhine-Westphalia . The NSG was designated as a nature reserve by the Soest district on June 14, 2003 with the Landscape Plan I.

Area description

The NSG with the identification SO-069 includes with the Völmeder Spring 12 spring pots and rivers of the Völmeder Bach, a 3.3 km long right tributary of the Geseker Bach . It is a karst spring area . The NSG borders directly to the east on the development area of ​​the core town of Geseke. It is bounded in the north by Völmeder Strasse and the Hamm – Warburg railway line , in the west by the settlement area, in the south by Salzkottener Strasse ( B 1 ) and in the east by agricultural land.
