"Coal IV" quarry

The former quarry nature reserve "Coal IV" is located in the area of the city of Geseke in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends on the southern edge of the core town of Geseke directly on the east-running state road L 549. The B 1 runs to the north, and the 30.30- hectare nature reserve Steinbrüche - Auf der Höhe extends to the south-east .
meaning
For Geseke, a 9.91 hectare area had been designated as a nature reserve under the code number SO-036 since 1991 . In 2010 the protection status was lifted.
