The nature reserve quarries - Auf der Höhe is located in the area of the city of Geseke in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends south of the core town of Geseke directly on the state road L 549, which runs along the western edge. The 142.23 hectare nature reserve Prövenholz extends to the south and runs along the A 44 .

Since 1990, an area of 30.30 hectares has been designated as a nature reserve for Geseke under the key number SO-025.
