The Vørterkaka ( Norwegian for malt beer dumpling ) is a nunatak in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . In the Sør Rondane mountain range, it rises 1.5 km south of the Bleikskoltane . Its east side is formed by the Brattfloget rock face .
Norwegian cartographers, who descriptively named it after its similarity to a Norwegian culinary specialty, mapped it in 1957 using aerial photographs of the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947).
