Vũ Thị Ly (born February 2, 1995 in Lào Cai ) is a Vietnamese athlete who competes in the middle-distance run .

Athletic career

Vũ Thị Ly gained her first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2014 in Taipei , where she finished seventh in 2: 15.62 minutes. 2015 she won the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore in the 800 meters and two years later at the Southeast Asia Games in Kuala Lumpur the gold medal over this distance, as well as silver in the 1,500-meter race . She was previously banned from the Vietnamese Athletics Federation for a month for a doping offense. In 2018 she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time, where she finished eighth in 2: 12.42 minutes.

In 2017 Vũ became the Vietnamese champion in the 800-meter run .
