Viernheim city bus from V-Bus

V-Bus GmbH is a transport company based in Lampertheim that operates local public transport in the Rhine-Neckar area .

The company is a subsidiary of Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV) and was created at the end of 2005 through the takeover of the company Reiseienst Oskar Mühlhäuser . The vehicles are maintained and serviced at the depot and in the workshop in Lampertheim .

As the successor to Mühlhauser, V-Bus drove the Viernheim city ​​bus routes 611 and 612 on behalf of Stadtwerke Viernheim GmbH and operated the bus route 688 between Weinheim , Birkenau and Nieder-Liebersbach on its own .

Since the takeover, various services have been provided on the lines of the RNV parent companies. From September 2005 to December 31, 2009 z. B. the bus routes 629 and 630 between Heddesheim and Hirschberg operated entirely on behalf of the RNV and MVV OEG AG . V-Bus is also used by RNV for event traffic.

In March 2007 V-Bus was awarded the contract for the Odenwald-Mitte line bundle advertised by the VRN in the Bergstrasse district with lines 667, 668, 684, 687 and 689. These lines have been operated by three regional bus companies since April 1, 2007 operated.

Until April 2015, the V-Bus was also used in the BASF Ludwigshafen plant service.

In 2012, V-Bus was merged with Beth , and in 2017 the headquarters were relocated from Viernheim to Lampertheim.
