Omnibusbetriebe Beth GmbH is a transport company based in Lampertheim , which operates local public transport in the Rhine-Neckar area and the Rhine-Main area .

The company is a subsidiary of Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV) and was created in March 2006 through the takeover of the regular transport division of the Lampertheim family business Beth. The business area of Reisecenter Beth GmbH remained unchanged.

The company has a depot and a workshop, which also maintains and services the vehicles for the sister company V-Bus GmbH in Viernheim, which is also part of the RNV . The joint operations manager of the two companies, Andreas Beth, is the son of the former owner Dieter Beth.

Until December 2011, Beth drove Lampertheim's urban transport routes 601 and 603-605 on behalf of Verkehr & Tourismus Lampertheim GmbH & Co. KG (VTL) - the successor to the restructured Stadtwerke Lampertheim GmbH . With the timetable change on December 11, 2011, the travel agency Walter Müller from Biblis took over the Lampertheim city bus service.

Since the takeover by RNV, various services have also been provided on the lines of the RNV parent companies, especially in Heidelberg city traffic .

In September 2005 a consortium of bidders in which Beth was involved was awarded the contract for several bundles of routes advertised by RMV. One of them - the LDD - Ried / LGG -Süd bundle with lines 45, 46, K59 and K62 - has been operated by Beth since December 2005.

Beth is also involved in Nahverkehrs-Service GmbH (NVS) in Bensheim , founded in 2000 , an amalgamation of several regional bus companies in southern Hesse and neighboring regions, in which HEAG mobilo GmbH from Darmstadt, the Abellio subsidiary Werner GmbH & Co. KG in Bensheim and the First Group subsidiary Arthur Merl GmbH & Co. KG in Speyer are involved.
