The VR Bank Flensburg-Schleswig eG was a German cooperative bank based in Schleswig .
In addition to traditional, wide-ranging banking offers, the product range also included electronic direct banking services. In addition, the bank was active in the real estate brokerage, insurance, building society and leasing business areas.
history
On December 19, 1901 , the bank was founded as a “savings and loan fund - registered cooperative with unlimited liability” by 13 farmers and traders in Jübek . Through various mergers with regional Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks, VR Bank Flensburg-Schleswig eG was created in 2000. In 2018 the bank merged with VR Bank eG, based in Niebüll, to form VR Bank Nord eG.
Cooperations
The bank cooperated with the affiliated companies of the cooperative financial network and was a member of the deposit protection fund of the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks .
