United gymnastics club from 1861 Bückeburg
The United Gymnastics Association of 1861 Bückeburg (VT Bückeburg) was a sports club from the Lower Saxony city of Bückeburg . It was founded in 1861 and dissolved in 2006 after the Bückeburg district court opened insolvency proceedings .
The VT Bückeburg became known nationwide through its handball department , whose women were promoted to the 2nd handball Bundesliga as champions of the North Season of the handball regional league at the end of the 1999/2000 season . There they played four years until they were relegated again at the end of the 2003/04 season .
