VV Leipzig was a volleyball club whose men's team was represented in the 1st Bundesliga . In 2006, the association merged with VC Markranstädt to form VC Leipzig .

history

Under the former name of SC Leipzig , the club was able to win the European Cup and 19 times the national championship of the GDR , making it the most successful club from East Germany. After its dissolution, the volleyball players switched to VfB Leipzig in 1998 . In 2000 they founded the new club VV Leipzig.
