Michael Neumeister (born June 6, 1985 in Penza , Soviet Union ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Born in the Soviet Penza , the Neumeister grew up in Schwerin and began his volleyball career in 1996 in the junior team of the local Schwerin SC . In 2001 he continued his athletic training at VC Olympia Berlin . From 1997 to 2003 he won the German youth championship five times. With the junior national team, he was third in the 2004 European Championship. In 2005 Michael Neumeister moved to VC Leipzig and then went to SG Eltmann . With the Franks he reached the cup final in 2008 as well as a year later with his new club TV Rottenburg . In 2010 he played with Rottenburg for the first time in the European Cup. He was also one of the German teams at the 2009 Universiade and the 2011 Military World Cup. Since 2013, Neumeister has been playing for the second team of TV Rottenburg in the third division south .
