Christoph Helbig (born March 4, 1984 ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Helbig learned to play volleyball with the VC Olympia Berlin youth team . Until 2006 he played at VV Leipzig and 2006/07 at VC Leipzig . Then the diagonal attacker, who finished fifth with the German team at the Universiade in Bangkok , moved to VfB Friedrichshafen . There he won the German championship and the DVV Cup in 2008 . Nevertheless, he returned to Leipzig after a season. In 2009 the Saxon association had to file for bankruptcy. Then Helbig played for Chemie Volley Mitteldeutschland until 2013 (until 2010 VC Bad Dürrenberg / Spergau).
