Steffen Busse (born April 19, 1975 in Schwerin ) is a former German volleyball player and coach.

Busse started with volleyball in his hometown Schwerin. With Schweriner SC and VfB Ludwigslust he played in the first and second Bundesliga in the 1990s . From 1998 to 2000, the outside attacker played at VfB Friedrichshafen , with whom he won two German championships . Buses then moved to league rivals VV Leipzig and in 2002 to the Polish first division club PZU AZS Olsztyn , where he had to end his active career in 2003 due to knee and back problems. Busse was also used several times in the German national team.

Then Busse was coach of the second team at VV Leipzig and since November 2005 coach of the Bundesliga team. From 2006 to 2009 he coached the successor team VC Leipzig and, after its insolvency, the second division team LE Volleys until 2016 .
