The Administration and Business Academy Lüneburg was founded in 1948. The first vocational academy course was added in 1990. Since then, the full name of the academy has been "Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie (VWA) Berufsakademie (BA) Lüneburg eV" The VWA / BA Lüneburg sponsors are the Lüneburg-Wolfsburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce , the Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade Chamber of Crafts , the Hanseatic City and the District of Lüneburg and the Lower Saxony Higher Administrative Court .

At the BA in Lüneburg, two dual bachelor's degree programs are offered: business administration and social work .

Both courses are accredited by ZEvA and end with the state-recognized Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Both courses cover six semesters and are aimed at people with university entrance qualifications (usually Abitur or advanced technical college entrance qualification) who have signed a study and training contract with a partner company.

The VWA Lüneburg offers the course in business administration (VWA) . It consists of six semesters and is an on-the-job training course that has been completed through an examination. The prerequisite is a completed vocational training course with subsequent practical work experience.
