from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Red Construction Hamburg (short: Construction or RAH ) is a communist group from Hamburg . The group emerged in 2015 from the predecessor organization Rote Szene Hamburg (RSH). The red structure refers to various ideologies of Marxism , Marxism-Leninism , as well as concepts of Gramscianism . Sister organizations are the "Rote Aufbau Rhein / Ruhr" in the Ruhr area and Rhineland , as well as the "Rote Aufbau Burg " in Saxony-Anhalt . The Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution also mentioned a “Red Structure Stuttgart ” in its 2017 report .

Objectives and fields of activity

The Red Construction Hamburg is part of the anti-imperialist scene in Hamburg and with around 60 members the largest anti-imperialist group in Hamburg. According to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the Red Structure acts primarily in the areas of anti-imperialism, anti-fascism and "against global corporations as well as national and international institutions". According to its own statement, the Red Structure is aiming to build a Communist Party in Germany.

The Red Structure is in charge of the organization of the so-called "Revolutionary May 1st Demonstration" and the annual "Class Festival against State and Capital" in Hamburg. Following these events, there are regular riots by alleged assembly participants and alcoholic young people - most recently in 2016. In 2017 and 2018, according to media reports, between 2500 and 3000 people took part in the May Day Revolutionary demonstration. In contrast to the demonstrations in previous years, these were largely peaceful.

The aim of the red structure is to intervene in the political process in Hamburg. The red structure often uses elements of hip-hop culture such as graffiti and street art . An example of this is z. B. the campaign for the failed Olympic application of Hamburg .

G20 meeting in Hamburg

The Red Structure was also involved in the protests surrounding the G20 meeting on July 7 and 8, 2017 in Hamburg. During the summit there were riots and looting in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel . On January 26, 2016, the Red Structure announced as the first protagonist from the radical left spectrum to protest on its Facebook page. “With our hatred of this system, we will be more than just a side note. If the bigwigs in suits want to meet in Hamburg, then we come in Adiletten and blow up their class reunion! "According to the protection of the Constitution, the Red Structure Hamburg was during the summit protests in the alliance" G20 boarding - sinking capitalism "and in the so-called" cross-spectra camp " active in the Volkspark Altona.

House searches

In the course of preparations for the G20 summit, several members of the Red Structure and the club premises they used were searched by the Hamburg police. The background to this was the accusation in an interview with the TAZ , in which two members of the Red Structure appeared under pseudonyms, that crimes had been approved . The search was sharply criticized by the TAZ and other newspapers. Even after the riots during the G20 summit, there were searches of alleged members of the Red Structure, as well as other protagonists of the alliance “G20 Boarding - Sinking Capitalism”.
