The Telebreen ( Norwegian ; Japanese テ ー レ ン 氷河 Telen-hyōga ; English Telen Glacier ) is a glacier on the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It flows into the east side of the Lützow-Holm-Bucht between the Telen hill and the Kjuka cliff .
Aerial photographs and measurements by a Japanese Antarctic expedition carried out from 1957 to 1962 were used to map it. The Japanese name of the glacier, based on the name of the hill Telen (Norwegian for frozen bark ), was translated into English by the US Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1968 and scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute in 1972 into Norwegian.
