V: NESS (born Vanessa Henning in Hagen on February 28, 1984 ) is a German singer .

At the beginning of 2004 V: NESS took part in the casting SSDSGPS , which Stefan Raab organized as part of his show TV total , in order to find a candidate for the German preliminary decision for the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest . Henning took fourth place. In April 2006 the album Electric Punk was released , on which there are several cover versions . These include She Bop (originally by Cyndi Lauper ), which was released in April 2006, Fallen for You ( Sheila Nicholls ) and Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) ( Green Day ). On April 27, she presented She Bop on TV Total , after which she went on tour nationwide. To avoid the risk of confusion with other artists named Vanessa, she appears under the name V: NESS.

At the end of 2008 a new producer and various songwriters, including David Clewett, Per Eklund and Marten Tromm, made new English-language recordings for a second career start. In 2009 Henning could be seen with the new V: NESS line-up at various events where she presented the new songs. Since March 2010 she has been on tour as the front woman of the P! NK tribute show JUST PiNK in Germany and neighboring countries. In 2012 she took part in the first season of The Voice of Germany , where she was eliminated from the blind auditions.
