Valdas Novickis (born February 22, 1986 in Kaunas , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian handball player . He is the son of the Soviet handball world champion from 1982 Valdemaras Novickis .

Valdas Novickis used to play for Granitas Kaunas and was also part of the Lithuanian national team for a while. In 2005 he won the Lithuanian championship. In the 2006/07 season he played with the SC Magdeburg Gladiators as a backcourt player . From July 1, 2007 he was under contract at HSG Düsseldorf , but in December 2009 he switched to Leichlinger TV . After only one season in Leichlingen, Novickis returned to Düsseldorf. After his contract in Düsseldorf was not extended, he joined the Belarusian club Brest GK Meschkow . In the 2013/14 season he played for the Austrian second division medalp Handball Tirol. In summer 2014 he rejoined Leichlinger TV.
