Vale do Côa is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Pinhel .

The municipality was created on September 29, 2013 as part of the administrative reorganization in Portugal 2013 from the merger of the municipalities of Azevo and Cidadelhe . The seat of the new parish was Azevo.

Culture and sights

In the municipality there are sites of the World Heritage Parque Arqueológico do Vale do Côa .
