Valemont is an originally 35-part mini vampire series on the US TV station MTV . It was first broadcast on September 21, 2009 in the USA and a year later in Germany. In the United States, the first of the average 2½ minute long episodes were broadcast during The City and The Hills commercials , with the remainder being exclusively online.

The individual episodes are about Maggie Gracen, who pretends to be Sophie Fields on campus, finds the mobile phone of her murdered brother Eric and tries to find out who the killer is. You almost always start with a podcast from Eric's cell phone. The last place her brother was seen alive was Valemont University , an exclusive East Coast college. In order to gain access there, she assumes the identity of a pregnant friend of her brother's, as she herself does not have a university qualification. Only slowly does she discover the mysterious death of her brother and the origins of many elite Valemont students.

  • The individual episodes should initially only be viewable online. But MTV now plans to cut 10-15 episodes into a 30-minute episode and broadcast them on television.
