Nikki Blonsky
Nicole "Nikki" Margaret Blonsky (born November 9, 1988 in Great Neck , Nassau County , NY ) is an American actress .
biography
Nikki Blonsky was working in an ice cream parlor when she was discovered for the film Hairspray , in which she soon played the lead role alongside John Travolta . The film made her known and further offers followed. Her role in Hairspray won her multiple awards, including Best Young Actress. She was one of the leading roles in the films Harold and Queen Sized , which appeared in 2008, and then played a supporting role in the television series Valemont .
In 2010, Blonsky played the lead role of Willamena "Will" Rader in the ABC Family series Huge , for which she was nominated for a 2010 Teen Choice Award . The series was canceled after ten episodes. In 2011 she played a supporting role in the film Waiting for Forever . She had two guest roles on the series Ugly Betty and Smash .
In the meantime she worked as a hairdresser because she was not offered any roles.
