Eric Balfour (* 24. April 1977 in Los Angeles , California as Eric Salter Balfour ) is an American actor , filmmaker and musician .

life and career

Eric Balfour was established in April 1977 in Los Angeles in the US state of California , the son of a marriage and family counselor and a chiropractor born. He is best known as a supporting and guest actor from various television series. He has worked in Buffy the Vampire Slayer , 24 and OC, California . He was originally only supposed to have a short appearance in Six Feet Under, but so convinced the producers that he was eventually seen in 12 episodes.

In addition, he has also been part of the cast of some cinema productions such as What Women Want with Mel Gibson and Michael Bay's Texas Chainsaw Massacre . He caused a sensation especially in the Canadian film Lie with Me - Liebe mich by director Clément Virgo , which was described by critics as " pornography ".

Eric Balfour first directed in 2010. For the episode film Do Not Disturb , which consists of five short films by various directors, he contributed the part of Duccio's Madonna . This was followed by the mockumentary television film Inland Empire . In 2017 he directed the previously unreleased film Walk to Vegas .

In addition to acting, Eric Balfour devotes himself to music. In the early 1990s, he starred alongside the later Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy in a band called Blessed With Soul . He is currently the lead singer of the rock band Born As Ghosts .

After an engagement to actress Moon Bloodgood in 2005 and a relationship with actress Leonor Varela , Balfour has been in a relationship with fashion designer Erin Chiamulion since 2010. The couple started a sportswear label, Electric & Rose , and got married in Pacific Palisades , Los Angeles in late May 2015 .
