biography

At the beginning of her sports career, Scuotto was an alpine ski racer , but there were no major successes. From 1994 to 2005 she took part in FIS races and European Cup races, specializing in downhill runs and Super-Gs . The best result in the European Cup was a 15th place in December 1999. It was not used in the Alpine Ski World Cup.

Valentine Scuotto made her debut in the Freestyle World Cup on November 30, 2002. In the first Ski Cross World Cup race in history, she finished third. Together with a 2nd and a 4th place, this was enough to win the World Cup discipline at the end of the season. In the winter of 2003/04, she finished third twice. As a result, Scuotto could no longer maintain this level and fell back into the front midfield. In January 2007 she won the silver medal at the Winter X Games . After the end of the 2006/07 season, she announced her retirement.
