Valerie Boothby , born in Wally Drucker , (born October 18, 1904 in Hamburg , † April 14, 1982 ibid) was a German actress and author of young books .

Life

The daughter of the Hamburg theater director Ernst Drucker worked in German silent films since 1926. She embodied the flapper, popular at the time, or the femme fatale type . Since 1929 she also played on the Berlin stages of Victor Barnowsky and Fritz Rotter .

After the seizure of power by the Nazis in 1933, she emigrated to France. She lived in Egypt for many years and worked as a portrait painter and author of books for young people. In 1970 she returned to her hometown Hamburg.
