Friedrich Anton Valerius Freiherr von Rothkirch and Panthen (born November 23, 1832 in Oels ; † September 30, 1883 at Panthenau Castle, Goldberg district , Silesia province ) was a German manor owner and politician.

Life

Valerius von Rothkirch and Panthen was born as the son of Baron Friedrich von Rothkirch and Panthen (* February 12, 1795, † January 2, 1857) and Henriette born. von Tempelhof (born September 3, 1796; † November 30, 1868). After attending grammar school in Schweidnitz , he studied law and camera science at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and agriculture at the Agricultural University Poppelsdorf . In 1853 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . He became head of the Freiherrlichen Haus Rothkirch and Panthen, owner of the Majorate Rothkirch and the Allodialritterguts Niederlangenwaldau . He was head of office as well as state elder and district deputy of the district of Liegnitz .

At the German war took from Rothkirch as a first lieutenant of the militia in Cuirassiers "Duke Friedrich Eugen of Württemberg" (West Prussian) No. 5 and at the French German War as a captain and squadron chief in 3rd Reserve Dragoons part. He worked as a literary employee of the Kreuzzeitung and wrote the history of the Rothkirch family, published in 1879 .

He married Elisabeth von Prittwitz and Gaffron on November 28, 1854 (* April 8, 1833). The couple had several children:
