Marcelli Janecki

Marcelli Janecki (also Martellus von Janecki ; born November 3, 1855 in Grätz ; † December 6, 1899 in Berlin ) was a Prussian officer and genealogist .

Life

Janecki, whose early years have remained unknown, was an officer in the Prussian army . At the latest since 1884 he was a guest student at Leipzig University (since then he has been an extraordinary member of the student association “Roter Löwe” there, and an honorary member since the end of 1887 ). Even then, his job title was "Genealogist". As such, he joined the heraldic association Herold in Berlin on April 16, 1889 and after the death of Herr von Eberstein he took over the editing of the handbooks of the Prussian nobility sponsored by the royal Prussian heraldry . Since the end of 1890 he has been a member of the Herold Head of the Genealogy Department. He has also u. a. as an employee of the Deutscher Adelsblatt journalist with historical and family history topics. He was also editor-in-chief for the yearbook of the German nobility published by the German Aristocracy Association .

Janecki belonged to the coat of arms community Rola with his family coat of arms and remained single.
