Location of the Comarca Valle del Guadalhorce in Andalusia

The comarca of Valle del Guadalhorce is one of the six comarcas in the province of Málaga . Like all comarcas in the autonomous community of Andalusia , it was established with effect from March 28, 2003. The comarca only has the function of planning regions for tourism and the development of sports facilities.

The comarca in the center of the province comprises 12 municipalities with 146,683 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013), i.e. about 9% of the provincial population.
