The Van Hool AGG 300 is a double articulated bus almost 25 meters long from the Belgian manufacturer Van Hool . The four-door low-floor bus has 45 to 65 seats and around 150 standing places, depending on the version.

In Germany, the bus model was in use at ASEAG in Aachen from 2005 to the end of 2019 . In Hamburg , a total of 26 such vehicles were in use at Hamburger Hochbahn , which have been withdrawn from service since September 15, 2018. They drove there on Metrobus line 5 at frequent intervals. With around 60,000 passengers / day, it is the busiest bus route in Europe. According to the plans of the elevated railway, all 26 vehicles should be replaced by the Mercedes-Benz CapaCity by 2016 at the latest , as the buses have a higher breakdown rate than the smaller buses and their availability is therefore reduced. However, some of the double articulated buses were still running in Hamburg until September 14, 2018, as Mercedes-Benz probably couldn't keep up with the delivery of the new buses.

The vehicle consumes around 72 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. At full load, the consumption per 100 kilometers is around 0.4 liters per passenger.
