Van Ling

Van Ling (* 1963 ) is an American VFX supervisor .

Van Ling attended USC Film School in Los Angeles from 1982 to 1986 and from then on began working in the special effects sector. For the film Abyss , he was personal assistant to director James Cameron in the VFX area. With his own company, Banned from the Ranch Entertainment, he worked on a number of larger film projects. He is also known as an innovative DVD menu creator. For the menus of Star Wars: Episode I , Abyss (both 2001) and the Star Wars trilogy (2005), he was honored with a DVD Exclusive Award .

In 2019 the historical drama Cliffs of Freedom was released , in which he worked as a director and screenwriter
