Vanessa Raj (born January 6, 1996 in Penang ) is a Malaysian squash player .

Career

Vanessa Raj began her professional career in the 2012 season on the PSA World Tour . She reached her highest position in the world rankings with position 56 in August 2016. In the 2014 season she celebrated her first major successes. Thanks to a wildcard , she was in the 2013 World Cup in March 2014 , where she was eliminated in the first round. In June she won the Asian Cup with the Malaysian national team and also the individual title among the juniors. At the Commonwealth Games in August, she was also in the Malaysian squad and joined Delia Arnold in the doubles competition , in which she missed the final round. In November she reached the final at the state championships, which she lost to Delia Arnold in three sets.

Her last professional tournament so far, she played in June 2016. She then began studying at Trinity College in the United States . She is active in college squash there.
