Father and Son is a sculpture by the artist Erik Seidel . It is located in Plauen , Saxony . It dates from 1995 and was donated by Hans Löwel (1920–1996), entrepreneur in Bamberg , for his hometown.

It shows the two main characters of the cartoons Father and Son , which were created by Erich Ohser (1903-1944) under the pseudonym eoplauen. The two spring from a book and walk hand in hand. The sculpture stands on two blocks.

The sculpture was initially located in Bahnhofstrasse in front of the old location of the eoplauen gallery and was moved in 2010 in front of the Erich-Ohser-Haus in Nobelstrasse 7. It is also located in the vicinity of the Vogtland Museum . The book was slightly damaged during the move.

In 2012 the plastic was briefly provided with textiles.
