Vatroslav Mimica
Vatroslav Mimica (born June 25, 1923 in Omiš ; † February 15, 2020 in Zagreb ) was a Yugoslav director and screenwriter .
life and work
Mimica studied medicine at the University of Zagreb until the outbreak of World War II . When the war broke out, he joined the People's Liberation Army (Yugoslavia) and was a member of the communist youth organization of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia . After the war he became head of Jadran Film Studios from 1950 . The first films were animation films, later films took up historical material.
