Veit Stolzenberger

Veit Stolzenberger (* 1965 in Soest ) is a German oboist .

Career

Veit Stolzenberger learned to play the oboe with Karl Hentschel, Klaus Kärcher ( Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf ) and Hansjörg Schellenberger ( Berliner Philharmoniker ). In 1989 he passed the artistic maturity examination and in 1993 the concert exam . He was a prizewinner and scholarship holder of the Kulturkreis der Deutschen Wirtschaft .

Musical activity

He gave solo concerts and conducted courses in South America , Japan and China with world premieres of works by Helmut Lachenmann , Piotr Moss , Dimitri Terzakis , Hans-Joachim Hespos and Einojuhani Rautavaara .

From 1989 to 1995 Stolzenberger was principal oboist with the Berliner Symphoniker , and since 1994 he has held the same position at what is now the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern . Since 2006 he has been a member of the AVALON Wind Quintet and since 2013 guest artist "Strategic Alliance" of the Miami Symphony Orchestra. The composer Rick LaSalle dedicated a sonata to him .
