Veiviržėnai ( German Wiwirschen ) is a small town in western Lithuania in the immediate vicinity (21 km) of the city of Gargždai and 38 km from the port city of Klaipėda . It is the center and seat of Veiviržėnai Parish. The Veiviržas River flows through the town and flows into the Minija .
In the town there is a grammar school with a small museum, a Catholic church (built in 1769), a cemetery with a chapel from 1791, a pharmacy, a doctor's office, several sawmills, a library, a café, a shopping center and a couple of stores.
On the outskirts of the town there is a castle mound where treasures from the 8th and 9th centuries and coins from Poland-Lithuania from the 17th century were found. They are kept in the Vytautas Magnus Military Museum and the National Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis Art Museum .
