Veljko Milkovic

Veljko Milković ( Serbian - Cyrillic Вељко Милковић ) (born November 13, 1949 in Subotica , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian author and inventor from Novi Sad . He has received several awards for his work.

Veljko developed eco-houses, greenhouses with reflective sheeting and mushroom greenhouses .

Milković used pendulums and levers in some of his inventions. One example is a manual water pump that uses a swinging pendulum.

Petrovaradin Fortress

In addition to his inventions, Veljko explored the labyrinth under the Petrovaradin fortress in Novi Sad. He discovered u. a. the pattern of the maze. This pattern includes ↑, Y, and T junctions. For these efforts he received recognition from the Museum of Novi Sad.

In 1983, Veljko Milković and Srećko Drk founded the "Friends of Petrovaradin Fortress Club". The club is located in the premises of the "Vladimir Nazor" library in Petrovaradin. In 1997 Veljko published a book called “Mystery of Petrovaradin Fortress”. In it, he describes the dangers that accompany his research, as well as the great potential for tourism in Petrovaradin , Fruška Gora , Srem and the Danube region in Serbia.

Awards and recognitions

In addition to numerous national and international awards for his contributions to ecology and energy supply, Veljko received the "November Constitutional Charter of the City of Novi Sad" in 2002. He received this award in the form of a gold medal for his invention of the manual water pump with the pendulum.
