Vella Lovell is an American actress.She was born on September 13, 1985 in Riverside , California . She became internationally known for her role as Heather Davis in the comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend . In Germany, the series was primarily broadcast by Netflix .

life and career

During her childhood, Lovell lived primarily in New Mexico and later in Santa Fee , as her mother often moved as a teacher. Her parents have both African and European ancestry. Even as a child she played theater and received piano lessons.

Lovell attended boarding school, Interlochen Academy, and received a bachelor's degree from New York University . She then attended the Juilliard School . During her training, she played in various small theater productions. A few weeks after graduating, she was cast for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend .

From 2015 she became part of the main cast of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend , which includes 4 seasons. Lovell played the supporting role of Adele in the HBO series Girls . She also played the supporting role of Taylor or "Tay" in the series Younger . She also starred as "Wendy" in the 2018 Netflix film The Christmas Chronicles . She also worked as a voice actress on various projects.
