The Ventisquero Caupolicán (of Spanish Ventisquero , snowdrift ' ) is a glacier on the Wiencke Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located around 1.2 km north of Port Lockroy in the west of the island and flows into Puerto Angamos .
Scientists of the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) named it in the course of surveying Puerto Angamos. It is named after Caupolicán († 1558), a Mapuche chief in the Arauco war against the Spanish conquistadors .
