The Puerto Angamos is a bay on the northwest coast of Wiencke Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is a side bay of Dorian Bay and is located 1.2 km north of Port Lockroy , from which it is separated by a peninsula that ends to the west at Damoy Point .
The crew of the ship Iquique discovered them on the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) in search of an anchorage for the second ship of the research trip, the Angamos . Gabriel Rojas Parker, captain of this ship, named the bay after the same.
