Venus Isabelle Palermo (born February 8, 1997 ) is a web video producer who operates a YouTube channel of the same name as Venus Angelic ( German : angelic Venus ) . She became famous through her video How to look like a doll (German: How to look like a doll ). With a cover version of I Love It ( Icona Pop ) she reached number 71 on the British singles chart .

Life

Palermo grew up in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and speaks German and Swiss German as her mother tongue as well as English . She also speaks Spanish , as they some time with her mother lived in Spain and learned self-taught Japanese and Korean .

Palermo currently lives in Japan with her Japanese husband .

Career

Even as a child, Palermo was told that she looked like a doll because of her large eyes and small mouth. In March 2012, she uploaded her video How to look like a doll , which made her known on the internet as the living doll. Your video now has over 15 million clicks (as of June 2017).

Palermo also appeared in the American documentary series My Strange Addiction (German: Meine seltsame Sucht ) in the episode I'm A Living Doll (German: I am a living doll ).
