Vera van Hazebrouck (born October 25, 1954 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a cultural manager .

Life

Vera van Hazebrouck studied agricultural science and theater studies in Vienna. From 1985 to 1987 she completed an additional degree in cultural management at the University of Performing Arts in Vienna . Van Hazebrouck gained his first professional activity in the cultural sector at the Winderstein Concert Directorate in Munich. In 1992 she went to Hamburg as director of concert planning for the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival . For three festival summers she developed over 120 concert programs for 20 venues each summer. The next professional station took van Hazebrouck to Berlin. From 1994 to 1995 she was the personal assistant to the general music director Daniel Barenboim at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin and also held the position of director of concert planning. Vera van Hazebrouck took over her first orchestra in 1995. The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen appointed her as managing director to Bremen. From November 1997 to September 2007 she was the artistic director of the Tonhalle Düsseldorf and the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker . In this function she was also active on the artistic advisory board of the Robert Schumann Festival and the Lower Saxony Music Festival. In November 2007 she brought Daniel Barenboim back to the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin as director of the Staatskapelle Berlin . From 2009 to 2014 Vera van Hazebrouck was director of the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra .

In autumn 2014 she founded Van Hazebrouck Artists , an international artist agency for conductors, instrumentalists and composers.
