Association of Swiss Regional Banks
The Swiss National Bank divides the Swiss banking industry into various banking groups. Like most of them, the regional banks and savings banks are organized in their own association, the Association of Swiss Regional Banks (VSRB). This was re-established on May 14, 2018 in Bern, after a corresponding association (founded in 1971) had previously existed. However, after its dissolution in 1996, its function was taken over by the RBA Group (today Entris Group ).
Purpose of the VSRB
The association aims to safeguard common interests and promote exchanges among its members. He is committed to strengthening the position and image of regional banks in Switzerland. Specifically, statements are drawn up and submitted in the context of hearings and consultations , exchange between the members is promoted, representation in committees of the financial center is ensured and the public is informed. The Swiss Bankers Association, as a cross-banking association, plays an important role in coordination within the industry .
