Association of the Bavarian Textile and Clothing Industry

The Association of the Bavarian Textile and Clothing Industry e. V. (VTB) is an employers and business association in Bavaria with around 130 member companies and around 20,000 employees. The VTB has existed in its current form since 1993. This year, the Association of the Southern Bavarian Textile Industry eV, the Association of the Northern Bavarian Textile Industry eV and the Association of the Bavarian Clothing Industry eV were merged. The head office is in Munich . There is also an office in Hof (Saale) .

purpose

The Association of the Bavarian Textile and Clothing Industry eV pursues the purpose of perceiving and promoting common and professional interests of the textile and clothing industry in Bavaria. As a professional association , employers' association and business association , it represents the interests of its industry in all socio-political, economic, socio-political and collective bargaining matters. This happens to the public , the government , the political parties , the authorities , the professional and interdisciplinary business organizations as well as the trade unions . The purpose of the association is not aimed at economic business operations. There is no intention to make a profit . Furthermore, the association does not pursue any party political purposes.

Like all associations, the VTB has full-time and voluntary employees. The honorary office is provided by the management of the member companies. The executive board within the meaning of the law is the presidium , in which representatives of the north and south Bavarian textile industry as well as the clothing industry sit. Christian Heinrich Sandler from Sandler AG has been President of the VTB since January 2003 .
