The Association of Engineers of Russia (RSI) claims to be an interest group for designers, construction workers , developers , inventors , researchers , scientists , technical and scientific staff, managers and heads of industrial manufacturing and construction companies in Russia.

History and organization

The association was registered on January 11, 2011 by the Ministry of Justice of Russia. Its highest organ is the "Association Congress", which is convened every five years. Extraordinary congresses take place on the decision of the Presidium, the President or the first Vice-President, on the written request of the Examination and Revision Commission or on the written request of more than half of the regional association departments.

There is also the presidium of the association. Nikolai Korjagin has been President, Iwan Andrijewski First Vice-President and Konstantin Kowaljow Vice-President and Secretary of the Association since 2013.

The Russian Federation of Engineers works with state, regional and municipal bodies and prepares expert reports. He actively cooperates with the Club of Financial Directors of Russia ; The aim is to unite the Russian science and engineering community with investment and financial structures.

In its international activity, the RSI is aimed at building and strengthening relationships between the community of Russian engineers and their colleagues from other countries, as well as developing relationships with international engineering organizations such as ORGALIME, FEANI and IAENG. To this end, the RSI organizes international conferences and forums, exhibitions and events and international working groups.

Promotion of foreign investments and projects in Russia

The Association of Engineers of Russia promotes foreign investment in the economy of Russia through:

  • Advisory and legal assistance for foreign investors
  • Expert support in partner selection
  • Advising investors on engineering aspects of project implementation
  • Adaptation of international projects to Russian standards, rules and technical regulations
  • Support with registration, standardization, licensing and certification
  • Protection of the intellectual property of foreign investors
  • Recommendations on the use of special economic zones and other legal options

The Association of Engineers of Russia provides support for foreign investments in the field of construction projects in the industrial, energy, transport, agriculture and civil construction sectors, as well as in the development of housing, communal services and urban territories. The RSI also provides support in the petroleum and gas industry, electrical energy, metallurgy and mining , chemical industry , mechanical engineering , telecommunications industry, processing industry , construction and building materials industry , transportation, aviation , shipbuilding and automotive industries , forestry and agriculture , medicine and pharmaceuticals .

Preparation of reports

On November 21, 2012, the Russian Federation of Engineers presented an overall rating of the attractiveness of Russian cities for 2011.

On May 20, 2013 the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Construction and Housing and Communal Services, the Association of Engineers of Russia and specialists from Lomonosov Moscow State University issued a rating and methodology for assessing the quality of the urban living environment and carried out an assessment of the 50 largest cities in Russia. In this work, the evaluation method developed by the association for the quality of the urban living environment and the attractiveness threshold of the cities were used. The clients were the President of the Russian Federation and the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

After the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 , the association published an analysis of possible causes. He also had a picture published, which is said to be a satellite image showing the attack by a fighter plane on the Malaysia Airlines plane. RSI Vice President Ivan Andrijewski says the picture was thoroughly examined and no signs of a forgery were found. Bloggers in Russia and other countries, however, quickly came to the conclusion that the picture had numerous inconsistencies and was a fake.
