Verdens Ende is at the end of the Oslo fjord and forms the southern tip of the Norwegian island Tjøme in the community Færder , province Vestfold og Telemark .

At the beginning of the 20th century, summer guests from the region christened Verdens Ende , which means “ end of the world ” in German . Before that, the area overlooking the Skagerrak was primarily known as a lookout point for pilots on the hunt for assignments.

The freely accessible area is a popular destination for tourists with opportunities for swimming and fishing. A large pier , together with the spars, forms a protected harbor basin, in which a fishing port and a large marina are located. The most striking building is the Wippfeuer (Vippefyr) built in 1932 , which was built as an advertisement for a restaurant in the immediate vicinity.

If you send mail from the “end of the world”, the item will be stamped with its own motif.
