Verena Dietl
Verena Dietl (* 1980 in Munich ) is a German local politician ( SPD ).
Dietl studied social education at the Catholic Foundation University in Munich. After the local elections in 2002 , she took on a mandate in the Laim district committee . In the 2008 local elections , she entered the Munich City Council , to which she has been a member since then. She was the sports policy spokeswoman for her parliamentary group and a member of the social, child and youth welfare, education and sports and finance committees. On October 1, 2019, she took over the group chairmanship . After the local elections in 2020 , she was elected third mayor by the city council on May 4, 2020.
